I love the outdoors. Portraits outside of a studio help everyone in the family to relax and be themselves. Which child does not prefer to run around and play instead of being cooped up inside? And while it is nice to have a portrait of the whole family sitting together, sometimes nothing beats a candid shot of a family playing, having fun and enjoying just being together as a family. During my photoshoots I capture both the formal and the candid shots .
Locally I absolutely love these parks: Maxwell Park, Ewing Park, Forrest Park, Hidden Creek Nature Sanctuary, Fransen Nature Area and the ISU Horticulture Center.
And if you are up to drive just little, we can also try Comlara Park and Moraine View State Park for your photoshoot.
I am always on the look out for new locations. As a matter of fact grabbing my camera and just heading somewhere new and taking pictures is something I do quiet frequently. Usually Athena will join me for those explorations. We always have a lot of fun doing that together.
For most of us there are also those places that hold a lot of memories and which we form an attachment with. The one places you know like the back of your hand, the one place you feel at home, the one place you can relax at, etc. Sometimes these places are connected to people and sometimes to memories made. Did you got to school at ISU or Wesleyan and maybe even meet your sweetheart on Campus ? The Quad makes for beautiful pictures.
What are your favorite places around town? Do you like areas like Uptown Normal or do you prefer the local parks and playgrounds? Do you have a place that holds a special place in your heart please feel free to share and tell me why.
