I know booking a photography session can feel a little overwhelming. My goal is to make the entire experience feel simple, supported, and even enjoyable.
From our very first message to the moment your images are printed and displayed in your home, I’ll be right there with you. These aren’t just files that sit on a screen — they are memories preserved so they can be seen, touched, and felt every day on your walls, in your hands, and in your heart.
The booking process itself is quick and done entirely online. Once your date is secured, I guide you through everything — from preparation to wardrobe to personalizing your session so it truly reflects your family. You’re never left guessing what comes next, and I’m always just an email, text, or phone call away if questions come up.
I want you to not only love your images, but to look back on the experience itself and remember how easy and meaningful it felt.

Remember how it felt when you held them for the very first time — how they were the most perfect thing in the world? And then there were the days that felt a little more like taming baby sharks.
Childhood holds both. The sweetness and the chaos. The quiet hand-holding and the big emotions. Every child is wonderfully different, with their own personality, expressions, and ever-changing phases — and every portrait tells part of that story.
My mission is to help you remember the way they reached for your hand without thinking, the moments when only you could dry their tears, the season when all their teeth seemed to disappear at once, and the way they absentmindedly twirled their hair.
These details may feel ordinary now. One day, they will feel priceless.

Hold on to this moment — and let me show you as you are.
Come enjoy a photo session with me here in Central Illinois and discover how relaxed and even fun being photographed can feel. Together, we’ll create one-of-a-kind memories that reflect your family just as you are in this season.
Let your children play. Let them interact naturally with you. We’ll make silly faces, run around, cuddle close, and maybe even share a few tickle attacks. I gently guide when needed, but I leave space for real connection to unfold.
My focus is always on your family and the relationships you share — the laughter, the tenderness, the in-between moments — so your images don’t just look beautiful, they feel like you.
We will choose a date together and I will get you all set up to sign your contract and pay for your session. Interested in how that might look like ? Check out my booking site below ...

What should we wear for our family session. Probably the most commonly asked question as I help my clients to prepare for their session. As a matter of fact I have written a whole blog post about the topic.
Also please know that if you book a portrait session with me you will receive a session guide from me. I contains an incredible amount of helpful information and tips on how to prepare to make your session a success.

Keeping a close eye on the weather forecast is a great point to start. I recommend we don’t make any decisions until the evening before your session.
I ask my families to be flexible when it comes to the timing on the day of their session. Sometime this problem can be solved but just changing the time when we will meet, while other days we might have to re-schedule. Or if you are up to it, let's bring the right gear and embrace the rain!
Also keep in mind that bright sunshine is not necessarily the best weather for a photo session. Cloudy weather is actually great for pictures. Clouds are nature’s diffuser and create a beautiful soft light.

You will receive a link with access to an online image gallery within two weeks of your session. The gallery will contain all available images from your session.
Prints products have an average turn-around between one and two weeks for most products.
I try and stick to these times as I strive to deliver the best service to you each and every time. However please do know there might be times where this can slightly vary for me as well as the photo lab that I am working with, e.g. Fall and Christmas time. This is mostly due to the increased volume during that time.
I can not stress enough how important it is to print your portraits and not just let them sit on devices! Check out the full blog post on this matter through the button below or read on for a short version.
When you print your portraits, you are :
More likely to see them daily. There are studies that show that images of themself and their family, improve kids confidence and self-esteem as well as promote a feeling of belonging.
Prints are are a tangible object something you can physically touch. The screens on our devices are tiny and most of the time not very true to life.
And it always good to have another copy of your images, one that is not digital.
